Pontoon Classroom Highlights!
We had a warm sunny day at our third pontoon classroom for Cambridge High School students. Students participated in hands-on learning of lake monitoring techniques, plant ecology and identification, watershed issues and sediment studies that relay our lakes history.
We would especially like to thank our speakers and pontoon boat captains: Paul Garrison, Patricia Cicero, Dave and Rae Martin, Mike Sabella, Craig Kempel, Keith Kolb, Jimmy DeGidio and Georgia Gomez-Ibanez.

Thank you to the volunteers who helped to cut and haul downed wood from the Lake District Preserve. A total of 4 wood trailer loads and three truck loads were harvested and a series of brush piles were formed. More trees will be felled this winter with another opportunity to cut free fire wood. What better way to stay warm then to keep the home fires stoked. If interested, contact the district office and we'll contact you when the date is set.
